01 Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of The Angutsa Football Championship website (“Website”) and participation in activities administered by The Angutsa Football Championship (“Championship”). Read them with the official competition rules and our Privacy Policy.

Read these Terms before using registration features or submitting information. When you accept these Terms in a registration form, you confirm that you have read them and the applicable competition rules. The law determines the legal effect of that acceptance; simply browsing the Website does not create an agreement beyond what the law permits.

03 Eligibility and Participation

We set the eligibility requirements, competition format, and registration deadlines for each edition in its official competition rules. Check those rules for age, category, and other requirements; these Terms do not add eligibility conditions.

You must provide accurate information and follow the applicable competition rules and reasonable instructions from our authorised officials. We may decline or limit a registration when it does not meet published requirements.

04 Team Registration

Apply through the official registration process and provide accurate Team and Team Manager details and the documents required by the published competition rules. Submit your application by the announced deadline.

Our authorised Organisers review applications, request corrections to incomplete or inaccurate information, and accept or reject applications for valid reasons under the published rules. An application is not acceptance and does not guarantee participation.

Team Managers must tell us through the official contact process when submitted information materially changes. We may cancel a registration only where the published rules and applicable law allow us to do so.

05 Player Registration and Eligibility

Team Managers submit Team and official details first. They may add, update, or remove Player details through the manager dashboard only after we approve the Team and confirm the full registration fee has been paid. We may expressly permit a Team Manager to register Players before the full fee is cleared; that permission does not replace Team approval or waive any outstanding fee.

Provide accurate Player information. If you submit information for another person, you must have authority or another lawful basis to do so. Do not create duplicate, fraudulent, or unauthorised registrations. We check eligibility under the published rules. Squad-size, transfer, and related requirements appear in those rules.

Tell us about errors and correct them before the applicable deadlines. For a participant under 18, obtain parent or legal guardian consent when the law or registration process requires it.

We collect only personal information needed for the Championship. We restrict access to sensitive Player details and do not publicly display phone numbers, identity-document details, home addresses, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

06 Team Managers and Responsibilities

As a Team Manager, you must submit accurate Team information and, once Player registration is available for your approved Team, accurate Player information. Communicate our official information to your team, explain the applicable rules, meet registration and document deadlines, promote respectful behaviour, and report relevant changes to us.

Follow our official instructions about fixtures, venues, and match administration. Do not misrepresent Players, interfere with Official Results, or claim authority you do not have.

07 Registration Fees and Payments

We state any fees, payment deadlines, payment methods, and refund conditions in official Championship announcements or registration materials. These Terms do not set a price or promise a refund.

Use only payment channels we identify. Keep your payment confirmation or receipt and report a failed, duplicate, or incorrect payment through the official contact process. An authorised Organiser must verify a payment before we treat it as approved.

Full payment is required before a Team Manager can register Players, unless we expressly grant permission for that Team to register Players earlier. Early permission does not cancel or reduce the registration fee.

We disclose refund eligibility and deadlines before payment and handle refunds in accordance with applicable Kenyan law. We do not ask you to share payment-card security codes, mobile-money PINs, or banking passwords with us.

08 Fixtures, Venues, and Scheduling

We announce fixtures, match dates, kick-off times, venues, and schedules through official Championship channels. Check those channels for updates and follow our reporting and arrival instructions.

We may change a schedule because of weather, venue availability, safety concerns, or other circumstances. We communicate postponements or rescheduling through official channels when reasonably possible. A published schedule can change.

09 Competition Format and Qualification

We publish the format for each edition in its official competition rules before competition begins. The format may include a Group Stage, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, a Final, and an optional third-place playoff; stages and pairings vary by edition.

When an edition uses a group stage, its published scoring and tie-breaking rules determine standings and qualification. The number of groups, teams, and knockout pairings is set out in that edition's rules.

10 Match Rules and Conduct

We identify the football rules for each competition in its official rules. You must respect opponents, Match Officials, Organisers, and supporters; act fairly and in a sportsmanlike manner; follow referee decisions and match procedures; and follow venue safety instructions.

Do not engage in violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, deliberate disruption, match-fixing, bribery, falsification, or other dishonest conduct. The applicable competition rules identify the playing rules and disciplinary code.

11 Discipline, Misconduct, and Sanctions

Our authorised competition officials review alleged misconduct under the procedures published for the relevant competition. We follow the applicable rules and fair procedures, including giving you an opportunity to respond when the rules or law require it.

Where the published rules allow, we may issue a warning, caution, or suspension; remove someone from a match or venue where justified; or impose a forfeiture, disqualification, or Team or individual suspension. We refer serious matters to relevant authorities when appropriate. These Terms do not give a website administrator unlimited or arbitrary disciplinary authority.

12 Match Results and Standings

Our authorised competition officials record or confirm Official Results. Confirmed results update fixtures and standings in the competition system; group points, qualification, and knockout progression follow the published rules and confirmed outcomes, including any extra-time or penalty rules.

Only authorised officials may correct an Official Result through the applicable process. We correct displayed information when we identify and verify an error. We mark a result as confirmed only after an authorised official verifies it.

13 Protests, Complaints, and Disputes

Submit complaints or protests through the contact or reporting process published for your competition. That competition's instructions state the deadline, required supporting information, receiving official, review and decision process, and any appeal process.

These Terms do not set a deadline, fee, or guaranteed outcome. Keep your submission respectful and include relevant evidence.

14 Safety, Welfare, and Safeguarding

Follow venue safety requirements and reasonable instructions from our authorised officials. Treat the safety and welfare of Players, spectators, and officials as a priority, with particular care for minors.

Harassment, exploitation, and abuse are not acceptable. Report safety or safeguarding concerns through the official reporting process as soon as possible. We respond to urgent safety concerns, including by contacting emergency services when needed. Nothing in these Terms removes responsibilities imposed by law.

15 Photography, Video, and Media

We capture and use photographs, video, or other media for Championship reporting or promotion only when we have a lawful basis and any required permissions. We take particular care with identifiable images of minors.

Attending an activity does not give us blanket permission to use every Participant's image. These Terms do not give us unrestricted commercial rights over your image or creative work. Raise concerns about published material through the official contact process.

16 Website Use and Acceptable Conduct

Do not attempt unauthorised access to accounts or administrative features; upload malicious code or interfere with the Website; submit fraudulent registrations or fabricated results; impersonate another person; abuse registration, communication, or reporting features; or use the Website unlawfully.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Website, its users, or the Championship, subject to applicable law and appropriate procedures.

17 Personal Information and Privacy

We collect and use personal information to create and manage accounts, process Team and Player registrations, administer competitions, communicate with you, protect our services, and meet legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who receives it, and how you can exercise your rights.

When you create an account or submit a registration, you must provide accurate information and may submit information about another person only when you have authority to do so. You must keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

18 Intellectual Property and Branding

Intellectual-property rights protect the Championship name, logo, original Website content, graphics, and other protected materials. Do not reproduce, alter, or commercially exploit our protected materials without permission, except where the law allows it.

Teams retain rights to their own content. Submitting content does not automatically transfer ownership unless a separate lawful agreement says otherwise. The Championship does not claim ownership of third-party logos, photographs, or other material belonging to others.

19 Cancellations, Postponements, and Force Majeure

Severe weather, public safety concerns, venue closure, official restrictions, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect matches or the Championship schedule. We communicate material changes through official channels when reasonably possible.

Consequences of postponement, cancellation, or abandonment are governed by the published competition rules and any payment or refund terms disclosed before payment. No automatic refund or blanket exemption from liability is promised here.

20 Limitation of Liability

The Website and its information are provided subject to applicable law. Information may occasionally need correction or updating. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by Kenyan law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability, statutory rights, or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Participation in football does not by itself waive any claim or legal right.

21 Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or end Website access or participation when the published competition rules, an applicable agreement, or the law allows us to do so. We notify affected people and provide access to an applicable review or dispute process when required.

Ending Website access does not cancel rights or obligations that continue under applicable law.

22 Changes to These Terms

We update these Terms when our activities or legal obligations change. We identify material changes through an appropriate official channel and display the current effective date on this page.

We do not apply changes retroactively to Participants' rights or obligations where the law prohibits it.

23 Governing Law

Kenyan law governs these Terms. We apply any competition-specific dispute procedure only where it is valid under Kenyan law. These Terms do not create a court, tribunal, or mandatory arbitration arrangement.
